It’s Giving Tuesday: Osmo Celebrates With “Buy One, Give One,” Where Osmo Donates One Kit To Confetti Foundation For Every Purchase Made Today On PlayOsmo.com

Award-winning STEAM brand Osmo announces that its charitable arm, Osmo Cares, will donate one Osmo kit to a designated nonprofit, Confetti Foundation, for every Osmo product purchased by customers today, Giving Tuesday. Through the end of today, each purchase made on playosmo.com--regardless of amount--will automatically trigger a donation without any increased cost to them, and customers can take advantage of this plus various extended Cyber Monday specials. “We love the mission of the Confetti Foundation, which provides birthday parties for children who are hospitalized, in pediatric oncology clinics or pediatric hospices, or provides caring gifts to them to brighten their special day, in lieu of parties, during the pandemic,” says Karen O’Dell, Osmo Director of PR and Osmo Cares. “Hospitalized children must feel alienated now because of Covid, and we’d like to brighten their important day with an Osmo!” “The donated Osmo Kits will be included in all our birthday boxes for young boys and girls, and they will be so welcome and appreciated because kids associate positivity and fun with gifts, and seeing their big smiles uplifts their families too,” says Stephanie Frazier Grimm, Founder/CEO of the Confetti Foundation. “We are honored to be partnering with Osmo for Giving Tuesday.” ( VIDEO ) Osmo Cares Since 2016, Osmo Cares has made over $100,000 (USD) in product donations to nonprofit and charitable organizations in the U.S., and has established over 50 partnerships with family service and autism awareness organizations. In addition, Osmo currently offers free downloads of the extremely popular Osmo Projector App, which allows teachers to broadcast their desktops and create more engaging virtual classroom environments over popular video conferencing technologies using Osmo’s proprietary AI technology. The recipient of EdTech Digest’s 2020 “E-Learning Innovation of the Year Award,” Osmo Projector App has almost 50,000 active users since it launched in March of this year. Impact of Osmo’s Charitable Giving The product donations by Osmo makes a resounding impact on underserved and BIPOC communities, whose students don’t have easy access to technology, due to lack of resources such as funding, internet connectivity and, in severe cases, lack of electricity in rural areas. Osmo Cares recently donated 50 Osmo devices along with Amazon Fire tablets to the Navajo Nation as part of a larger donation of PPE and school supplies to this underserved, rural community, to facilitate remote learning during the pandemic. “This pandemic has brought into focus the huge digital divide that the Navajo communities we serve are facing. The help that we are receiving directly from Osmo in the form of digital devices and high-quality educational software is so appreciated. Our resource teachers are excited about this gift because the hands-on approach of this software, they believe, will be especially helpful in serving our special education students remotely,” says Mark Sorensen, CEO at The STAR School in Flagstaff, Arizona, one of the schools and community hubs receiving this donation. Says first grade teacher Betel Velasquez of Uvalde, Texas, who comments on the impact of receiving a donated Osmo kit, "This #OsmoCares donation means the world to me because, as a teacher from a low income school, the Osmo has helped me to reach students through a screen! This makes it so much easier to do small group reading and create mini anchor charts live!" Upcoming Toys for Joy Donation On December 12, Osmo Cares will donate 800 kits to Toys for Joy, located in San Diego, California, to lift the spirits of young boys and girls, for a second year in a row. In the past 23 years, almost 167,000 San Diego children and their families have experienced the hope of Christmas at the annual Toys for Joy event, where they receive free toys, groceries, and more. Held at 4 locations in San Diego, the event is hosted by Rock Church in partnership with local schools, businesses, churches, and community organizations; in 2019, it attracted over 15,530 attendees and 3,870 volunteers. Says Toys for Joy Director Michele Kassa, "During the holiday season, it can be difficult for families to provide toys and food without sufficient funds and resources. This is true now more than ever with the impact of COVID-19. Many [families] have shared that they didn't know how they were going to provide for their children. For the families attending Toys for Joy, a simple gesture of a new toy for their child means the world.” Adds Kassa, “To be able to give a toy like Osmo to a child that otherwise might not be able to afford it is a blessing. It enables a child to learn STEAM-based principles while having fun. We are thankful that Osmo is committed to getting resources to make STEAM-based learning accessible to children and schools regardless of their background.” About Osmo Osmo is an award-winning STEAM brand whose products are used in over 30,000 classrooms and 2.5 million homes.
