R2 Technologies Disrupts the Aesthetics Industry with Its Groundbreaking Glacial Rx™ Treatment

R2 Technologies

R2 Technologies Inc. ("R2") the leader in CryoAesthetic™ medical devices, launches Glacial Rx™, the first revolutionary in-office CryoAesthetic™ age spot removal treatment, FDA-cleared to remove benign lesions and temporarily reduce pain, swelling and inflammation. Developed by the pioneers of CoolSculpting and Fraxel, Glacial Rx is the first and only technology that uses Cryomodulation™ to improve skin appearance and freeze melanin at the source. The treatment harnesses the power of cold, using patented cooling technology, to suppress melanin production and remove unwanted dark spots. It also brightens, soothes, and renews skin for peak results and no downtime. “I am excited to partner with Glacial Rx to be among the first to offer this novel treatment in my practice,” says Board Certified Dermatologist Dr. Gregory Nikolaidis. “I believe it will be a game-changer in the category of cryoaesthetics, offering the opportunity to treat new patients who are looking for a comfortable solution to remove benign lesions.” The Glacial Rx System is an FDA Class II Device administered by trained healthcare professionals. Effective on most skin types, Glacial Rx delivers the best possible outcomes to remove age spots without the contraindications, risks, side effects or limitations associated with heat modalities. In partnership with one of the world’s fastest growing cosmeceutical skincare brands, Allies of Skin, Glacial Rx offers a curated topical regimen made with optimal active ingredient concentrations that can be provided alongside the treatment at the healthcare professional's discretion. The treatment consists of: Cool: The cold plate is applied to a spot for 15-20 seconds; no topical anesthetics or numbing agents needed. Calm: The cooling handpiece is gently moved across the face to reduce redness and puffiness, clearing the way for skin to better absorb potent topicals. Protect: Serums containing protective antioxidants and brightening agents can be applied, shielding the skin from environmental aggressors. Post-treatment take-home topical offerings, formulated with skin-beneficial plant derived actives, aid in skin recovery, accelerate skin’s desquamation process and re-epithelialization, and dramatically boost antioxidant activity to fight free radical damage. “It took us a long time to ensure that we were creating a best-in-class treatment, giving unparalleled results and superior experiences to our patients, and we are thrilled to finally bring this matchless innovation to market,” says Tim Holt, R2 Chief Executive Officer. According to a recent clinical study, 93% of spots improved at 2 months [1]; and another showed that 90% of patients said their skin was rejuvenated, brighter or more even at 1 month [2]. Launching this month in dermatology offices and med spas nationwide, Glacial Rx was named among ‘2021 Launches Doctors are Buzzing About’ by RealSelf, the leading and most trusted source to educate on cosmetic procedures. R2 is continuing to facilitate Glacial Rx system orders for practices to offer the treatment. Learn more about R2 Technologies and Glacial Rx at glacialskin.com and follow the company on LinkedIn. The Beer Store Chooses Comodo’s Industry-Leading “Auto-Containment” Technology to Protect Against Both Known and Unknown Zero-Day Threats

Comodo

The Beer Store, a California-based distribution and retail chain with over 450 locations and 10 distribution centers, chose to implement Comodo’s Advanced Endpoint Protection (AEP) based on its industry-leading Auto-Containment technology. Using Comodo AEP they are now able to handle modern threats with less effort and more confidence to detect and protect against unknown zero-day threats. Comodo was the Beer Store’s first choice after a robust evaluation process. They chose Comodo primarily due to the platform methodology and also found Comodo’s competitive price point to be attractive. The main feature that attracted their attention was the Auto-Containment. “The Auto-Containment… It brings peace of mind knowing that unknown viruses and payloads will be contained and prevent wide-spread damage to the organization.” Said Fabrizio Isabello, Senior IT Manager at the Beer Store. While the Beer Store customers do not necessarily understand the “in’s and out’s” of what the solution brings to the table, they do understand is that steps are being taken to ensure a more secure environment. “The investment into a new modern age end-point protection tool demonstrates to the organization that cybersecurity is a top priority. Adopting Comodo demonstrates a commitment to that priority,“ Fabrizio continues. The biggest change the Beer Store noticed since starting to work with the Comodo AEP solution is that they now have a centralized console where they have insight into all of their end-points. This has been incredibly valuable to our organization. “While this wasn’t the catalyst to deploying Comodo it has certainly been a nice find for us. We also have been able to leverage some of the other IT tools within the console, “ said Fabrizio. The Dragon platform with Advanced Endpoint Protection, is a complete cloud-native framework that delivers a zero-trust architecture to protect and defend endpoints. Its patent-pending auto containment technology has active breach protection that neutralizes ransomware, malware, and cyber-attacks. The auto containment runs an unknown executable in a kernel API virtualized mode, thereby offering attack surface reduction (ASR) which neutralizes ransomware attacks. The Dragon Platform also utilizes a Default Deny security posture with Default Allow usability to provide the most comprehensive protection against zero-day threats while having no impact on end-user experience or workflows. About the Beer Store The Beer Store was established in 1927. The Beer Store is a pop culture icon! They operate over 450 retail stores, serve 20,723 licensed customers, 650 government-owned LCBO retail locations, 141 retail partners, and 71 Northern Agents. Customers can choose from more than 800 beer brands, in over 445 retail stores, from 190 brewers around the world. About Comodo Comodo is the world’s leader of next-generation open source cybersecurity, with the industry’s most disruptive innovations. We help customers stop breaches with groundbreaking auto containment technology that neutralizes ransomware, malware and cyber-attacks. Our complete cloud-native framework delivers a zero-trust architecture with active breach protection for the most comprehensive defense against zero-day threats. Comodo’s cybersecurity products maximize intelligent sharing between every component of the platform, therefore providing superior security. We are the only company that analyzes and gives a trusted verdict for 100% of files on a network. Comodo leverages innovation to celebrate and support the cybersecurity community by offering the very first open source endpoint detection and response (EDR). We believe that an open source model using community-powered collaboration will ensure that every organization has access to the industry’s most sophisticated EDR. Minuteman Press in Philadelphia Boosts Local Business Recovery With Essential Print and Marketing Services

Minuteman Press International Inc

Jude Arijaje is the owner of the Minuteman Press franchise in Philadelphia. He also owns a second franchise in Bala Cynwyd with his son Mejire. Since printing is an essential business, Jude and his team have been open and operating throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, providing everything from signs and menus for restaurants to full-scale direct mail and outreach programs for elections including the upcoming state primaries in May. Jude has been running his business since 2008 and is a member of the Minuteman Press International President’s Million-Dollar Circle for achieving yearly gross sales of at least $1 million. By focusing on supporting local businesses and organizations at this critical time with products and services they need to reopen safely, Minuteman Press in Philadelphia is playing a crucial role in getting the local economy back on track. Jude says, “All in all, people are very receptive to local and small businesses. We are proud to do our part in the local economic recovery. We also have been helping non-profits with their marketing strategies and making sure that are maximizing their reach for their budgets.” He continues, “Right now, many local businesses need to get the word out to their customers that they are open and operating. We have seen high demand for direct mail postcards, directional signs, and signs in general that say ‘WE ARE OPEN’ or ‘WE ARE HIRING’, which is encouraging to see. Custom branded apparel is another capability of ours that continues to be big for us.” During the 2020 election season, Minuteman Press in Philadelphia was able to help many campaigns nationwide adapt their printing and marketing strategies during the pandemic. Jude explains, “We do a tremendous amount of political printing for elections, right now in Pennsylvania there is a primary coming up in May. At the height of the pandemic, we were printing signs and banners as well as many different mailers for the 2020 election. With traditional events not being allowed to take place, we were able to help our clients adapt their marketing and outreach efforts. I am grateful to be able to help local businesses and organizations successfully pivot during this crucial time.” “Print is never going to go away, and the pandemic affirms this. For example, to look professional at Zoom meetings, we will produce the signs, the backdrops, the branded apparel, anything you need. Another example is that local restaurants have come to us for new custom disposable menus. We might have to do business in different ways, but printing is always able to adapt.” -Jude Arijaje, owner, Minuteman Press franchise, Philadelphia It is inspiring to see how Jude has been able to overcome the challenges of COVID-19 and keep his business healthy. He states, “The two most important things that we are doing are marketing while also making sure our existing customers are happy. We have reached out to all of our previous clients as well as prospects with special offers via direct mail, and we do everything we can to make sure they have a positive experience with us.” Jude adds, “My biggest lesson learned during the pandemic and my message to other local business owners would be to work harder, work smarter, and try to connect with customers in a different way. If you don’t adapt to the current needs (and communication tools) of your customers, then they won’t know who you are or how you can help. The climate has changed with the pandemic and we help our clients understand that. We then help them effectively market their business.” Because Jude is part of the Minuteman Press franchise family, he has also received ongoing support that really makes a difference. He says, “The support from Minuteman Press International has been great. When everyone needed a lift, the corporate team and my local regional team were always there for us. I’ve been in constant contact with my Philadelphia Regional Vice President Rich Hornberger and he has been really supportive of us throughout the pandemic.” Rich Hornberger says, “Jude is a consummate professional who cares about his community. I am proud of his efforts in supporting local businesses both before and during the pandemic. Hard work pays off, and Jude is a prime example of that.” When asked what advice he would give to others right now, Jude answers, “My advice is simple: We are in this together, and we all have to work together. Keep your dollars in the community, and employ people in the community. That’s what we strive to do and we are proud to help others recover as we continue to build back our local economy.” For more information on Minuteman Press in Philadelphia and Bala Cynwyd, PA, visit https://www.philly.minutemanpress.com. Intelligent Buildings Partners with Tempered Networks for Managed Service to Secure Commercial Real Estate Networks

Tempered

Intelligent Buildings today announced its selection of Tempered Networks for a key aspect of its Vendor Risk Management Services, strengthening its managed service approach and revolutionizing building IoT cybersecurity. This approach leapfrogs traditional complex VPNs and mismatched IT solutions in terms of security, ease of management, and cost-efficiency. Leveraging Tempered’s AirWall platform, Intelligent Buildings effectively secures the disparate and fragmented operational systems and IoT sensors found in commercial buildings, such as HVAC, access control, elevator, lighting, parking, and others. Intelligent Buildings’ managed service for commercial property owners and managers is a turn-key offering that integrates and simplifies a wide range of vendor risk management services for existing building systems and networks that are proving to be more vulnerable to cyberattacks and local mismanagement. “Tempered Airwall technology has allowed us to deliver the most secure remote access solution for critical endpoints in our managed security service offering for owners and managers, whether they are corporate, REIT, government, healthcare, or higher education,” said Greg Hoogerland, President at Intelligent Buildings. “We had very demanding requirements for our remote access solution, including 1:1-only connections that were invisible to the Internet and hackers, elimination of all personal use like social media, and true plug-and-play deployment into any facility environment with any level of skill sets found in the staff—all at a much lower cost structure than competing IT approaches so that it would fit into property management budgets.” As stated in NIST research, many IoT building system devices interact with the physical world in ways conventional IT devices usually do not. To effectively access, manage and monitor these environments while ensuring business continuity, decision-makers must treat remote access differently while also emphasizing the local systems set up, including passwords, backups, and software updates, as well as contractor and staff policy compliance to manage phishing and ransomware threats. Tempered’s Zero Trust approach provides a proven way to address the unique remote access needs while fully enabling Intelligent Buildings’ system and policy management services. “Intelligent Buildings is delivering a valuable managed security service as a turn-key operation for commercial building owners and managers of any scale that addresses the growing need for advanced threat protection in a more connected world,” said Jeff Hussey, Founder and CEO of Tempered Networks. “With Tempered Airwall at the heart of their remote access service, they are providing an important partnership for us to reach this large and growing market, as well as validating the best of breed security offering organizations can deploy today.” Tempered and Intelligent Buildings have already successfully deployed in portfolios across North America with groundbreaking speed and cost structure. Utah Launches Pioneering Pilot on Mobile Driver’s License

GET Group North America

Waltham and Boston, Massachusetts, Salt Lake City, Utah (March 30, 2021 ) – The Utah Driver License Division (DLD) has launched a mobile driver license (mDL) pilot for offering driver’s licenses and ID cards on mobile phones. The pilot will demonstrate improvement in citizen privacy and security, while highlighting the convenience and safety of tap and go transactions. It will use a fully ISO 18013-5-compliant mobile app, following the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) mDL Implementation Guidelines. The new mDLs are a secure, contactless digital form of ID that give citizens control of their identity data. They choose the personal information they share with businesses. The pilot will build public acceptance of mDL in real-world scenarios such as banking, travel, traffic stops, and restaurant and liquor store transactions that require age verification. Building an open ecosystem during the pilot where mDLs are accepted at many businesses will pave the way for making mDLs viable for all of Utah’s more than two million licensed drivers. Utahns may be able to leave their wallet at home soon. Unlike other pilots, Utah will fully utilize the ISO 18013-5 standard for mDL, which provides the benefit of cryptographic proof of identity that prevents forgery and cannot be achieved by simply showing your phone screen to a clerk at a business. “Our Driver License Division is committed to working with residents and stakeholders to implement a solution which provides the highest value to Utahns: one which is accepted anywhere and provides enhanced privacy, security and personal control,” said Utah Department of Public Safety Commissioner Jess L. Anderson. “Utahns’ privacy is of the utmost importance to us and the mDL gives them control over their data. They choose what information to share when their identification is requested.” For mDL, Utah DLD has tapped GET Group North America and its technology partner, Scytáles, to provide GET Mobile ID, an ISO 18013-5-compliant application that puts an official driver’s license or ID Card on a citizen’s smartphone. The Contactless ID document can be verified with a tap or scan and is accepted worldwide using any ISO 18013-5-compliant reader, such as GET Mobile Verify. The GET/Scytáles mDL technology was the first to pass the formal conformity assessment testing, meant to ensure compliance to the stringent standards that allow for global acceptance. “Utah DLD has incredible foresight and timing to lead the world with standardized mDLs. We are proud to support Utah DLD as they begin launching a full-scale mDL program,” said Alex Kambanis, President and Managing Director of GET Group North America. “COVID has accelerated the importance of Contactless ID for both citizens and the businesses that accept ID. Utah DLD is providing Utah residents a huge benefit with financial, security and health-related impacts." “Utahns will now lead the country in having the benefit of a completely secure, privacy-centered, standardized form of mobile ID. Our team looks forward to supporting Utah in its pioneering role in implementing the very first fully ISO-compliant mDL,” said Geoff Slagle, President & Chief Business Development Officer at Scytáles, Inc. The pilot will begin with approximately 100 select participants and expand to 10,000 participants including the broader public during 2021. Utah businesses can participate in the pilot to accept mDLs now and prepare for when mDL is available to all Utahns.
